Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 80 ℉, condition: Partly Cloudy.

Rains yesterday missed us for the most part!  We still got an inch or so in the past 24 hours, but nothing heavy enough to make the creeks unfishable.  Expect low and clear to stained water.
Tricos have been fun in the mornings with the spinner fall typically lasting until about 9.  While not on every creek, when you find them it is some excellent dry fly action!
Water temperatures are summer warm, meaning we do have some creeks that are above 65 degrees.  Please use your thermometer and avoid warmer water, search for the cooler creeks and toss terrestrials and small, thin bodied bead heads subsurface.
Evenings have been the summer mix of a bunch of different flies.  Generic patterns like a parachute adams or stacker midge are working well.
Mousing has been a blast lately with fish willing to eat at night.
