Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 77 ℉, condition: Partly Cloudy.

The hot weather has mellowed out a bit finally.
Water temps are still warm, remember to use your thermometer.  Anything over 65 will be slow fishing, and over 68 can be lethal to fish.
Trico spinners are still strong in the mornings, with ants and beetles and small hoppers getting eaten on the surface next to the undercut banks.
Subsurface fishing is solid on smaller, thin bodied nymphs and midge larvae.  Leeches are still strong, especially when the sun is off the water.
Mousing has been very fun lately with explosive takes at night.
