Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 72 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.

 Sunny but milder day today.
Sun is still the limiting factor, find the shade to find the fish.
We're in the middle of terrestrial season with fish eating ants, beetles, and hoppers readily all day long.  Subsurface flies that have a slim profile have been best.  Think pheasant tail not prince nymph.
Waters are clear and a touch low with temps in the mid 50s to 60s.  It is a good idea to take a thermometer out with you.  If the water temperature climbs above 65 fishing will start to shut down.  Anything above 68 can be lethal to trout.
