Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 78 ℉, condition: Cloudy.

After a nice cloudy day yesterday, the bright glowing orb in the sky is back!
The sun will be the limiting factor today, fish early and late and find shade.
Smaller terrestrials (even small hoppers!) are effective right now, especially with a small dropper tied below.  Few hatches are present with midges, lighter colored mayflies and some craneflies still getting fish to rise.
Subsurface bugs are best in smaller sizes and with a slimmer profile.
Water is low and clear with temps in the mid 50s to 60s.  The sun will make the water temperature rise rapidly (not to lethal levels though) and slow down the fishing to a crawl.  It is best to take a break mid day.
