Driftless Area

The foam hatch is going strong!Although the aquatic insects have petered out a bit (hatches very early morning and into the evening) fish are looking up and eating terrestrials all day long. Not huge hoppers (yet), but ants, beetles, crickets and smaller hoppers are all getting fish on the surrface.
Subsurface flies are working very well, especially the thinner bodied type. Think pheasant tail and midge larvae instead of hare's ear and prince.
Waters are clear and low with temperatures in the mid 50s to 60s.
