Some warmer days ahead. The sun will put the breaks on the fishing mid day until about 5-6 p.m. when things start to cool down again. This doesn't mean fishing is poor overall, just choose your timing to catch more fish (and be more comfortable!)We're sitll experiencing the bug soup with craneflies, lighter colored mayflies, caddis, and midges hatching as well as fish eating ants and beetles on the surface.
Subsurface fishing has been good on lighter colored scuds, midge larvae, and cranefly larvae.
Fish are definitely moving for streamers, leeches and mice, especially when the sun is off the water.
