Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 78 ℉, condition: Flurries.

A much more angler friendly weather forecast this morning!  Looks like we will have clouds the next few days and possible rain over the weekend.
With the sun being the limiting factor in our low and clear creeks, clouds will really get things going!
Fish are still feeding on caddis, craneflies, yellow sallies, sulphurs, and beetles on the surface.
Subsurface they are really eating anything!  Scuds will become more important on the cloudy days, and our effective flies are starting to get a bit smaller and thinner in profile as the caddis hatch slows down a bit.
