Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 71 ℉, condition: Flurries.
The forecasted rains fizzled out and only drizzle and light rain showed up yesterday and last night. Total of a half inch in the past 24 hours. Creeks are still low and clear to slightly stained. Water temps in the low to mid 50s.Fishing has been solid thanks to caddis and craneflies hatching in the afternoons. Morning subsurface fishing has been good on prince nymphs, scuds, and cranefly larvae.
Feeding fish will be below and even in the riffles, especially near undercut banks.
Leeches and streamers have been excellent thanks to the overcast conditions lately.
Mouse fishing has been good too!
