Driftless Area

A good soaking rain of about an inch fell last night. Not enough to mess anything up badly, but enough to stain some waters. These evening rains have been excellent for the fishery!Caddis and craneflies are the main thing on the menu lately with fish rising to them in the afternoons and evenings. An emerger can be very effective right now all day long!
Subsurface fishing continues to be strong on scuds, cranefly larvae, and other thicker bodied patterns.
Do not forget your streamers, leeches and mice! They have been good and only getting better with the cloudy days and stained waters.
