Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 64 ℉, condition: Windy.

The mix of cloudy weather and light rains continues.  These have been incredible for the fishing.
Caddis, both black and tan, are hatching as are craneflies, and even a few mayflies in the evenings.
Beetles are catching fish, and we are already seeing some small grasshoppers in the meadows.
Waters are clear and a bit low with temperatures in the low to mid 50s.
Subsurface fishing has been good on scuds, caddis pupae, and gray cranefly/caddis larvae.
