Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 57 ℉, condition: Cloudy.

Fishing is good, but difficult due to the low and clear water, sunny skies, and cooler water temperatures.  Stealth is key right as the fish are spooky.
After the cooler nights, the olive hatch has slowed down a a bit.  We may see more this afternoon as things warm up.  Midges are still hatching and there are sporadically rising fish area wide.
Subsurface fishing is best on scuds and leeches as well as small, thin bodied nymphs in dark colors.
