Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 45 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.

Cooler today.  Clouds in the a.m. The clearing in the afternoon.
Water temps are in the mid 40s.  We've seen olives (iron winged duns) and midges hatching.  A few caddis spotted on warmer creeks, but the hatch is not quite here yet.
Rocks are covered with bugs ready to hatch!
Water is low and clear and fish can be spooky when the sun is out.  Cast a little farther and use a little longer than usual leader!
Scuds are becoming the most important bug, with small dark bodied nymphs a close second.  Fish are a bit more aggressive and will chase leeches and streamers now.
