Driftless Area

Rating: 4, temperature: 69 ℉, condition: Heavy Rain.

The weather has been incredibly comfortable!
Clouds today should really get the olives going.  The hatches of olives and some caddis have been good in the evenings, but the sun has limited them to a couple of hours.  The next few days are forecasted to have some clouds, so watch for even more rising fish!
If fish are not rising, fishing terrestrials against the banks and overhanging grass has been extremely effective, even mid day.
Subsurface fishing has been best on small, thin bodied nymphs in darker colors as well as scuds.  Even trying a big, ugly nymph or drifting a leech is working!
