Fishing Reports

Rating: 4, temperature: 80 ℉, condition: Flurries.

 The fishing has never been this good in August, nice cool nights keeping the water temps. cooler! Air temps. will be in the mid 80s,  start fishing around 6-7 am. The ant and beatle bite is still producing fish, I start fishing hoppers and Hippie Stompers (bigger profile flies) around 10 AM when the dew starts lifting off the valley floor!

I have been seeing more Tricos on different streams, so pack size 18-22 Tricos in duns and spinners! Tricos are hatching 7-9 AM and in the evening 8 PM till dark! The moon is almost full, giving you some more light to see flies on the water, but still bring a head lamp to tie on flies and to get back to your car!

Dropper files are still turning fish, size 16-20 Mayfly patterns, size 14-18 Hares Ear and Scuds!

If you can get out and fish this weekend, do it! You will not have this weather and great fishing in August for a long time!
