Driftless Area

Rating: 4, temperature: 82 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.

The storms over the weekend completely missed us.  There was little rain and the streams are all flowing clear to stained.
Dry fly activity has been best in the evenings, but throughout the day fish are sporadically rising to terrestrials, midges, and attractor dries.
Subsurface fishing has been excellent with scuds, tungsten bead flies, and pheasant tails.
The sun is still the limiting factor.  Find shade, fish deep mid day, and you will find fish.
