Driftless Area
Rating: 4, temperature: 69 ℉, condition: Flurries.
A bit of cloud cover today, and much cooler weather.Fishing has been solid lately on a variety of bugs. Most successful have been medium sized terrestrials (beetle-esque flies) with a small bead head dropper tied below, with leeches a close second.
Emergers and pupae fished in and below the riffles have also been very effective.
There are numerous bugs hatching (caddis, craneflies, sallies, sulphurs, midges, olives) and fish are keying in on certain species on a creek by creek basis.
Waters are clear to stained with temps in the mid 50s to mid 60s.
