Driftless Area
Rating: 4, temperature: 83 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.
There are spotty clouds forecasted today, finally! As nice as the weather has been lately for being outside, the bluebird skies have been the limiting factor for fishing.
We are seeing spotty hatches of caddis, craneflies, yellow sallies, and even some sulphurs. Yellows and oranges on the surface are key right now.
Subsurface fishing has been great on caddis and cranefly larvae, as well as thin bodied nymphs and big uglies like the chubby cousin.
Waters are low and clear, with temps in the mid to high 50s.
