Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 70 ℉, condition: Cloudy.
Fishing remains solid on craneflies and caddis. The fishing will really pick up once clouds move in as the sun is the limiting factor right now.Cranes and caddis are hatching, as are some midges. Fish will rise sporadically throughout the day, with more activity in the mornings and evenings.
Subsurface fishing has been good on scuds, pink squirrels, midge larvae and brush hogs.
Don't neglect terrestrials! We have been catching fish on ants and beetles already, as well as on large foam indicator dries.
Waters are low and clear with temperatures in the mid to high 50s.
