Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 72 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.
Low clear water and bright sunny skies will make fishing a bit more difficult the next couple of days.Fishing has been strong as we have craneflies hatching, and some caddis hatching (both the return of the black caddis, and tan caddis).
Don't fear the foam. Terrestrials and indicator flies have been catching fish, especially on the first few drifts near undercut banks.
Subsurface flies that are fished right on the bottom have been successful. Prince nymphs, scuds, pheasant tails, and midge larvae.
Waters are low and clear with temperatures in the mid 50s area wide.
Find shade and fish heavy flies in the deeper pools and you will find fish when the sun is on the water.
