Driftless Area
Rating: 4, temperature: 52 ℉, condition: Heavy Rain.
Cooler, cloudy and a slight chance of drizzle today. Very fishy!Creeks are low and clear with water temps in the low to mid 50s. Tan caddis are hatching, as are blue winged olives. The hatches are not widespread, nor are they very strong, but fish will rise in the afternoons.
Subsurface fishing has been excellent on simple weight flies, as well as coulee scuds, she hulks, and pink belly pheasant tails. Streamers and leeches have been getting their fair share of fish too!
Look for fish feeding in, and just below, the riffles when the clouds are around. When the sun is out they will be in the runs and pools.
