Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 64 ℉, condition: Cloudy.
Clouds will move in later today as the weather pattern changes. Fishing have been quite good lately subsurface, while only decent on the surface thanks, in part, to the bluebird skies.Water temps are in the high 40s to mid 50s.
We have seen a handful of caddis, both black and tan, hatching but the major hatch is still not yet here.
Most of the action has come on smaller, thin bodied nymphs and leeches in shaded areas and underneath undercut banks.
This will change as the new weather system brings in some clouds and rain.
