Wisconsin's season is closed, we are fishing and guiding in Iowa. It's cold weather fishing season in Iowa. The fishing is still good, but only from late morning to mid afternoon as the water temperatures are rising and peaking. The best case scenario is to have a warmer night (close to 40) and a sunny, relatively warmer day. The more the water temperature bumps, the more active the fish will be.
Hatches will be limited to midges, and on warmer days olives. Most of the fishing right now is subsurface on midge larvae, scuds, and leeches fished slowly.
