Fishing remains strong heading into the last few days of trout season in Wisconsin.Hatches are happening mornings and evenings with fish eating olives and some tricos and midges the first few and last few hours of the day. Emergers are working a bit better than dries for picky fish.
In the middle part of the day crickets, hoppers, and beetles are catching quite a few fish. Hanging a pink squirrel or hare's ear below a large foam pattern and casting it near the bank will produce some very nice fish!
Leeches are deadly right now too. Make sure you let them drop to the bottom than twitch, rather than strip them across currents.
