Season ends the last day of September, get out there and fish!Fish are feeding well subsurface on the chilly mornings. Thicker, fuzzier patterns, such as hare's ears, pink squirrels, and weight flies are catching most fish, with pheasant tails and thinner bodied bugs also working.
On the surface, rising fish are falling for an olive or midge pattern, with a handful of fish eating trico spinners in the early hours.
Hoppers, beetles and ants are the best flies mid day. Tying on a bead head below a big foam indicator fly has been the rig of choice mid day.
Do not overlook leeches and streamers as fish (especially larger ones) are starting to put on some pounds for fall.
