Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 85 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.
Sunny and warm today which means fishing will be best early and late, and anywhere you can find shade.Waters are flowing low and clear with temps in the high 50s or low 60s. Only a couple streams are over 65 degrees. Please avoid fishing anything over 65 as fishing will be poor, and potentially lethal to trout.
Small mayflies, hoppers fished on the banks, and flashy dry flies are working on the surface. Fish are rising well mornings and evenings.
Subsurface fishing has been good on small bead head nymphs with some flash, as well as midge larvae and scuds.
The summer fishing has been solid all day long this season, and you can't go wrong fishing a hopper/dropper throughout the day and targeting risers early and late!
