Wisconsin's trout season begins March 1st!What a winter! Average snowpack, and a very frozen ground.
Streams are running open for the most part, except in the slower pools.
Fish have been feeding happily all winter long, and in the afternoons when the sun is on the water, they are rising to midges.
It will warm up quite a bit next week (starting Feb 17th) and we will keep you updated on the melting and any runoff happening.
Things are shaping up for a solid March. We can't wait to be fishing again!
