Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 76 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.

Chilly morning this morning.  Overnight temps were cool which will set up the fishing to be fantastic today.  It is just downright pleasant to be outside this August.
Waters are a bit low, and clear with temps in the mid 50s to low 60s.
Fishing has been good overall, but keeping in mind we are in August, it has been an incredible summer thanks to cooler air temps and the springs pumping cold water into the creeks at a very good pace all season.
Tricos and small olives as well as a handful of caddis are available to trout on the surface in the mornings and evenings.  Mid day top water activity is on terrestrials and attractor patterns.
Subsurface, scuds continue their hot streak with mico nymphs and midge larvae a close second.
