Sunny today with temps close to 80. This weather is still excellent for July/August and the fishing could not be any better for mid summer.Fishing throughout the day is best subsurface on midges, pheasant tails, and scuds.
The morning is bringing more and more tricos. Although the major spinner falls have yet to show up, there are a few streams taht are getting packs of rising fish in the mornings.
Terrestrials have been solid on the surface as well, with a beetle or a hopper fished close to overhanging grass being effective mid day.
In the evening, there is a mix of olives and midges area wide that is getting a few fish to rise when the sun goes behind the ridge tops.
