Driftless Area
Rating: 4, temperature: 74 ℉, condition: Cloudy.
The nice temperatures continue throughout this week. Fishing has been great for July with cool water temps and happy fish.Olives have been hatching in the mornings, and although the tricos started to show up, they have slowed down quite a bit as the temperatures have been too chilly!
Evenings have seen fish rising to caddis, midges, and olives.
The foam hatch is great right now, with fish eating all kinds of terrestrials mid day.
Subsurface fishing has been good on scuds and pink squirrels, pheasant tail type flies, and other thin bodied bead head nymphs.
