Great summer conditions. Cool nights and mornings, fishing throughout the day, and an evening rise!Waters are clear and cool and flowing well. There is a chance of some rain throughout the day today, but it should not be enough to muddy anything up.
We have started to see a handful of tricos and some wolfpacks of rising fish in the mornings. Add to that some summer olives in the morning, and dawn to mid morning can be some fantastic dry fly fishing. The tricos are just starting and limited to a handful of creeks.
Terrestrials are still hot throughout the day, and fishing a foam pattern with a scud or pheasant tail dropper has been deadly all week.
Subsurface fishing is best with scuds, thin bodied nymphs and midge larvae.
