The terrestrial hatch is on!Waters are clear to stained area wide, and all are fishing well.
Ants, beetles, and even hoppers have been really solid lately. For fussy fish on the surface we have been sinking our ants, or fishing midge dries.
Subsurface we have had a ton of success on scuds as well as other 'spiky' subsurface flies. Heavy bugs rolled along the bottom mid day are working, and some smaller, thin bodied flies fished in the riffles have been picking up fish too.
Our sunny week should end tomorrow, with clouds and a chance of some showers early next week. The limiting factor has been the sun, so cloud cover is a welcome thing!
