Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 75 ℉, condition: Flurries.
Fishing has been very good the past couple of days! This weekend's temps will be significantly lower than during the week, waters are clear to stained with only the largest creeks still cloudy, and fish are being very agreeable!
Bankside vegetation has been matted down by the flooding waters earlier this week, and new gravel bars have been exposed.
Sunny this morning, but clouds and a possible drizzle will move into the area this afternoon.
Fish are eating tiny midge larvae, smaller scuds and other small fuzzy nymphs, as well as leeches subsurface.
On the surface; ants, beetles, midges, and attractor flies. The craneflies and lighter colored mayflies will start to come back slowly as things continue to normalize.
