Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 84 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.
No rains again yesterday (the storms missed our area completely) means waters have dropped significantly and all but the largest creeks are clear to slightly stained.Today is hot and sunny, so fishing the shade as well as fishing early and late is advised. Today is the last hot day, as tomorrow and into the weekend, the temperatures dip to a very comfortable low to mid 70s!
Fish are eating attractor patterns and terrestrials on the surface, and pretty much anything subsurface.
Since the high waters flushed quite a bit out of the water, midges and midge larvae will become increasingly important over the next couple of weeks.
