Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 62 ℉, condition: Windy.
Water is up and has a touch of color area wide. Nothing is unfishable, but expect clear to stained water after the recent cold showers.Fishing has been excellent subsurface on leeches, gray bead head nymphs, thin bodied nymphs in red and brown, and scuds in orange, tan, and gray.
Hatches have been sparse in the rain the past couple of days. As the rain and mist lets up today and into the weekend, expect craneflies, light colored mayflies and yellow sallies on the surface. Also do not forget the foam indicator flies as they are great alone or with a nymph dropper.
