Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 63 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.
Rain late yesterday put 1/4 to 1/2 an inch of rain into the system. Streams will be cloudy to clear with the larger waters (west fork, north fork etc) showing the heaviest stain. The fishing has been really good with leeches, larger scuds, and San Juan worms on the stained waters. The clearer streams are still fishing strong on crane flies, caddis, and slim bodied nymphs.
Larger foam flies are starting to catch fish too. As things clear up a large indicator dry with a dropper below will be deadly again.
