Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 73 ℉, condition: Partly Cloudy.
Good, solid fishing area wide!Streamers and leeches early, then subsurface fishing on cranefly larvae (smaller, gray bodied nymphs) and caddis larvae. Finally in the mid day to evening some dry fly activity on cranes, midges and caddis.
We've been fishing dry/dropper a lot recently with good success. Many fish are even hitting the big, ugly foam 'indicator' dry.
Rain last night, although heavy at time, did not muddy up the streams significantly. Once again, expect clear to stained water today.
