Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 65 ℉, condition: Cloudy.
Warm night last night, and sun first thing this morning. Feels extremely caddis-y today. We have seen small hatches the past couple of days, but the fishing should explode over the next few sunny days.Streams are flowing clear and water temps are in the mid 40s.
Fishing has been solid sub surface on scuds and caddis larvae/pupae as well as pink squirrels and pheasant tails. The olives are still hatching but in lesser numbers due to the sunny conditions.
Make sure you twitch your flies, both subsurface and surface, as the fish are really responding to action and movement lately.
