Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 47 ℉, condition: Flurries.

Streams are clear with only a few stained, water temps are in the low to mid 40s.
Fishing has been very good on scuds, pheasant tails, weight flies and leeches in the mornings.  In the afternoon we are seeing rising fish to midges and olives.  The black caddis hatch is primed, with rocks full of pupae.  The first sunny and warmer day (perhaps even today) we will start to see caddis show up!
the weather has been ugly, but if you dress appropriately, the fishing has been tons of fun.
