It continues to be the early season of the scud as they remain our hottest flies overall.Clear to stained water area wide, with little to no influence from snowmelt over the past few warm days. We might see a dirtying of the water today with a high nearing 60, but with little snow left on the ground it should not be disatrous.
Today is supposed to be cloudy and drizzly. Perfect olive weather!
We have seen the return of midges and olives and fish feeding on the surface in the afternoons.
Black caddis larvae and pupae are all over the rocks which means the hatch will be here soon. Do not be out there without at least a couple caddis.
Water temps are in the low to mid 40s and fish are active enough to respond to leeches and streamers.
