Clear to slightly stained water area wide. Water temps are in the low 40s.Snowmelt is all but done with a few piles and north facing hills still having snow. We have seen no major impact from melting over the past couple warm days.
Hatch activity has been sparse with midges hatching sporadically but with few fish rising.n with the warmer water temps fish will start rising heavily soon.
Most of the action has been on heavy scuds and nymphs as well as leeches. On the crystal clear water midge larvae have been working too.
