What a difference the sun makes!warmer water temps area wide. Most everything is at 40 degrees or higher and the fishing is quite good.
There has been some snowmelt. Not enough to muddy up streams, but it still drops the water temperature in the early evening. Once that happens, fishing slows way down(usually around 3 pm). Use your thermometer and you can find it out right away.
Midges, a handful of mayflies, and even a few caddis have been spotted and fish are rising. Scuds.and other heavy nymphs fished deep have been deadly, while big fish are being caught on streamers and leeches.
