Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 35 ℉, condition: Thunder Storms.

Fishing was good again yesterday, and should continue today and into the weekend.
Today will be a little bit wet with some heavy snow and ice falling, but it should not be enough to mess with the waters.
Streams are high but clear to stained.  Water temps are in the high 30s to low 40s until the early evening when the slow snowmelt starts to cool them down.  Fishing is best between 9 and about 3.
Midges have been active and fish are eating them on the surface in the afternoon, while streamers, leeches, and large bodied nymphs have been good subsurface.
