Driftless Area

Rating: 2, temperature: 30 ℉, condition: Thunder Storms.

Streams are dropping and clearing today.  The upper sections of some streams and some tributaries are stained to clear already. (Some were even good yesterday!)
Water temps are still hovering in the high 30s and low 40s.
With no major melting or precipitation yesterday or today, even the larger streams will calm down.
In stained waters, leeches and streamers have been very effective.  When things clear up, the midge/stonefly hatch will resume, and subsurface fishing on scuds, squirrels, prince nymphs will also kick back on as streams clear up.
