Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 36 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.
Good winter fishing right now!Midges and winter stoneflies are hatching in the afternoon and fish are feeding well subsurface too. Waters are clear and low (normally so for the winter). There is not enough snow on the ground to make getting around impossible, but it is difficult in spots.
There is freezing rain/drizzle in the forecast for Saturday afternoon, but unless it turns heavy there will be no significant melting.
Water temps are hitting the low 40s mid day, and until the snowmelt begins, fishing will be g remain solid right to dark.
