Wisconsin's trout season is closed. We are fishing and guiding in Iowa's Driftless.As the weather gets colder, into what we call winter conditions, what you look for are windows of weather in the 40's during the daytime. We have a bunch of those starting today and through the next few days!
Bugs start moving earlier in the day which gets fish feeding better throughout the warm part of the day. Expect midges and possibly some small olives to hatch. Most of the action will be subsurface on micro nymphs and midge larvae as well as scuds.
