Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 71 ℉, condition: Flurries.

Cold overnight temps have dropped streams into the high 50s area wide.  Flows are still low and streams are very clear.  This morning will be breezy with a chance of showers.  It will clear up a bit later on in the day.
Very solid late summer fishing lately with fish still eating smaller terrestrials and tiny dry flies on the surface throughout the day.  Hoppers are still turning some nice fish, and the olive hatch is coming off in the later afternoon/evening typically.
Subsurface fishing has been good on midge larvae, olives, and scuds.
Leeches and streamers in some of the deep, slow pools has been fantastic with some big fish crushing the larger bugs.
We are also still in prime mousing time.
