Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 67 ℉, condition: Windy.

Looks like a great day,  cool temperatures, cloud cover and a chance of drizzle all day.  Get your blue winged olives ready!
Fishing has been best when the sun is off the water.
Water is low and clear, but temperatures have dropped on all the creeks, with ones that run warm in mid summer dropping below the mid 60s during the day.
Ants and beetles are good throughout the day as propecting dries.  Rising fish will eat olives and midges, while those subsurface are eating scuds and slim bodied mayfly nymphs and midge larvae.
Although sunny, the weekend temps will barely top 70 with overnights being nice and chilly.
