It's beginning to feel like late summer...Cooler nights and today's high is less than 80 degrees.
Fishing has been very good on tiny stuff in the mornings (midges and other size 20-22 bugs) for the morning rise. Switching to subsurface bugs late morning, especially lightly weighted bugs in the riffles and heav scuds in the deeper pools.
Terrestrials are getting fish to look up mid day, with some bigger fish swimming across the stream to crush hoppers.
The evening brings out an olive hatch and rising fish appear the last hour or two of daylight.
After that, tossing a mouse pattern is very effective and a ton of fun!
