Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 85 ℉, condition: Flurries.

Fog first thing, giving way to some sun, then clouds and a chance of rain again this afternoon/evening.
Yesterday we had an inch plus of rain area wide and the streams were flowing flush, but still crystal clear.  Excellent news for summer flowing streams.  The injection of cold water will get things hopping today.
Look for olives tonight as they were all over yesterday during and after the rains.  Surface fishing was great.
Terrestrials will work this morning as the sun warms the ground.  A hopper with a scud tied below will be excellent.
Scuds are important when the water levels come up and we get some clouds.  The rain displaces them and the shade gets them moving.
Remember olive nymphs and emergers, especially fished in the riffles.
