Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 81 ℉, condition: Flurries.

Good summertime conditions and good fishing.  Despite low and clear water, water temperatures have been good and fish have been eating early and late.  There are hatches of BWOs, midges and caddis when the sun is off the water, and the tricos are still around in the mornings.
Terrestrials are still a good bet during the day.
Subsurface flies have been effective as droppers and when fished alone.  Go as small and as thin as you have in your fly box!
